Yarn squishing, Christmas knitting and photo walls!

Today I managed to go to our LYS without Sea Monkey in tow and it was bliss! I took my time, looking at the different brands, the different colours and shades, squishing them to find the softest ones, "eeep!"-ing at the price of the reeeeally expensive ones and putting them down quickly! Manshape was laughing at me squishing every yarn I could touch and trying to force him to squish them too. I resorted to rubbing them against his face when he refused! Then I found the lovely Stylecraft DK section.

I bought some of the Aran version of this yarn after reading the lovely Lucy from attic24 using/loving it. And I must admit, for someone who HATES knitting with acrylic yarn (aka, a yarn snob!) I loved it. I have been eyeing up the multipack that Masons sell. Mmmmmm. I can just see it made up into lovely, rainbow, ripply goodness!

Anyways, I picked up three colours to make some Christmas presents with. I can't say what and for who because they might read with blog ;) But I will be sure to post photos of all Christmas crafting after the big day :)

So, the Sea Monkey is in bed, the dishes are done, downstairs hoovered, washing machine full and I'm having a late tea of some left over chilli before cracking on with some knitting :D

I leave you with a picture of a work in progress that I *can* show you.

My photo wall! (Please excuse the wonky plant vase and the toy basket overflowing into the room) I went to buy more of the wooden frames that are in the middle there today and, BOO, the shop have stopped stocking them and I can't find them on their website. Sigh. So back to the drawing board with that! May go back to my original idea of thrifting lots of random frames and spraying them all the same colour, so they match in a non-matching way. What do you guys think?
